Umm...

While on dictionary.com I found out this:

A ghoul is,

n 1: someone who takes bodies from graves and sells them for anatomical dissection [syn: graverobber, body snatcher] 2: an evil spirit or ghost.

Ok, I am fine with the ghost thing, but the primary meaning is a body snatcher? Like is it a job? I haven't heard anyone growing up and saying "I want to be a ghoul, just like my daddy!"

I remember my ghouling days. It was back in ought six or so. Back then, graveyards used to be on islands, ya see. Every morning at 4:30 we'd take the ferry over to the cemetery, shovels slung over our backs in rucksacks, the same haggard expression on every face, to a man.

We'd land around 5:15, find our way to the fresh plots (the older stuff's no good for ghoulin', of course), and exhume what we could. Precious metal and jewels were off limits, 'less you could pocket 'em without the foreman seein' ya, but personal effects of a less intrinsic value were up for grabs - got me some great ties that way.

Oh, but I could go on forever. Times were tough, but they were good.

Well this is a response to two things at once kinda. So in Colombia, Halloween doesn't go over so well with Christians. The reason being, Armenia, Colombia is the Satanist capital of the world, the place the Black Pope often goes for Halloween. Also, children, chickens, and cute mk's are raped, sacrificed, and often eaten on Halloween. Also, bodies are dug up from graves to have sex with... im not sure if that counts as ghoul or not?
Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel about Halloween, but I don't expect others to see where I'm coming from either.
